Its all about getting close to God and hearing the divine inspiration and then acting on it. This is hard work because of all the crap in our minds. Id have to say the last two inspirations I have received is to have ALL positive thoughts about people and not to worry because things will be fine.

Getting to Inspiration/Divine will
Monday, November 16th, 2009Head the Ego off at the Passe
Sunday, July 12th, 2009Preparing for the ego. Once you are getting good at this ego control you see patterns arise. Your “he is a crazy driver judge ego” won’t arise in your living room but rather when you are driving. Your “fair and balanced” ego is only going to arise when you are watching Fox news or similar right wing media. Try to see where you are and predict what ego will arise and head it off at the passe. This way previously challenging situations become easy transmute to more enlightened states.
Be Careful What You Pray For
Saturday, July 11th, 2009Things have been going well for me in terms of my ego. In fact I had been proactive by praying for success in that regard. Yesterday, however, I had the worst day. I had several terrible blows to my ego and many smaller ones. My practices were very helpful in controlling their effect on me but I couldn’t understand why God would challenge me so much. I even prayed for an answer to that question. I got my reply in terms of recollection of something I read from Gary Renard. The universe will give you what you need to take the next step. This terrible day was in fact a compliment that I am ready now to take a big step towards reaching salvation. As Andre 3000 says in Revolver, “Embrace the pain.” I other words the pain you feel is the ego and gratitude towards the pain, embracing of the pain is what is required at that moment. I have come a long way from my biggest ego assault, my marriage.
Ways to affect your subconscious
Friday, June 26th, 2009The ego works in your subconscious to hurt you. You need to attack it where it lives but you need to do so consciously. The following are ways to do so:
1–dont take anything personal
2–dont make assumptions
3–be impeccable with your words
(above are from Ruiz’s book the four agreements)
4–pray to God or do mind treatments
5-forgive and release transgressions
6-love
7-treat others as you would like to be treated
8-see all others as innocent and pure
Conversely do the opposite of the above to help your ego and hurt yourself.
Even the least
Wednesday, May 20th, 2009Jesus says: ”Even the least among you can do all that I have done, and greater things.” This is kind of hard to believe when you consider Jesus as a superhero who walked on water and cured blindness. When you separate from wordly things by being a warrior against all things negative, you achieve salvation. When you become spiritual and pray and praise you can accomplish all things. Just focus on what you really want to accomplish and have faith.
Offense and Defense
Wednesday, May 20th, 2009My theory is that to have a Christ mind, to have salvation is to have a good offense and a good defense. Offensively you need to focus on what you want and pray for it. Prayer involves thanking God, praising God and communing with God. This should occur several times a day in order to keep the focus. All the other things in your life (not your main focus) are done without affecting your focus. This is the offensive part of your game plan. The defense is the difficult part. You have to be a warrior preventing negativity from getting into your subconscious. Negativity takes on several forms–paranoia, prejudice, anger, pity, gossip, resentment, shyness, EGO, frustration, etc.
The Four Agreements by Ruiz talks about how to be such a warrior: Be Impeccable with your word, Don’t make assumptions, Don’t take anything personally and Do your best.
I intend now to reread classic bible stories and see how Jesus behaved so as to test my theory.
Revelation of the month club
Monday, May 18th, 2009I take in a lot of information (books, podcats, lectures etc) and hope that a theme comes to me. My information sources are diverse. I tend to subscribe to the revelation of the month club in that i try something new all the time. My goal is that I will hear someone or read something that will unify a lot of thoughts and ideas. I don’t think some people are right and others wrong, but rather there is a way where they are all right and my goal is to find that way.
The answer lies in psychology and the science of the mind. We have a conscious and a subconscious and we need to understand how they work. We can feed the latter with positive thoughts from the former and the latter will make it so for us. These thoughts can be related to prayer, Jesus, Allah, God. We need to rid our subconscious of negative thoughts and emotions and resentment as they work against us. They are of the ego which is (everyone together) the enemy.
To summarize praise and pray and be a warrior against all things negative. This is the key to life.
Father forgive them
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009Why did Jesus say while nailed on the cross “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”? Why didn’t he say “I forgive you”? An excellent speaker I heard tonight feels that Jesus was too mad at that moment to forgive himself. He had to go to spirit to forgive knowing that without forgiveness there would be no resurrection.
I can learn from that. When I am too mad to forgive I should ask for help to forgive anyway knowing that my happiness and maybe even my salvation is hanging in the balance.
One week to live
Monday, May 4th, 2009What would you do if you had one week to live? You wouldn’t bitch about the government or get into fights with friends, coworkers and associates. I would probably eat out and spend quality time with loved ones. What if you spent each week that way? I am going to try to do that with respect to personal relationships. I can’t quit work and I want to look good for the summer so I can’t eat out too much.
Buddhists don’t go to AA
Sunday, May 3rd, 2009A lot of Christians don’t ever study new age or Buddhist ideas. In my experience they satanize these thoughts even when they are identical to Christ’s beliefs. There are a lot of Christians with gossip, substance abuse, anger and morality issues that would benefit from studying these principles. You never see a drunk Buddhist or a Buddhist at a strip bar. A lot of books like Tolle’s New Earth make it very clear that they are not espousing a new religion nor are they trying to change a person’s views. If you google Jesus and Buddha you find uncanny similarities in the teachings of both (Buddha lived hundreds of years before Christ.) I personally feel that my quest to be more Christ like, to be be healed of the human condition, to be rid of the ego, involves understanding the teachings of Buddhism and new age thought. The aforementioned will make me a better Christian and more Christ like.
