Offense and Defense

My theory is that to have a Christ mind, to have salvation is to have a good offense and a good defense.  Offensively you need to focus on what you want and pray for it.  Prayer involves thanking God, praising God and communing with God.  This should occur several times a day in order to keep the focus.  All the other things in your life (not your main focus) are done without affecting your focus.  This is the offensive part of your game plan.  The defense is the difficult part.  You have to be a warrior preventing negativity from getting into your subconscious.  Negativity takes on several forms–paranoia, prejudice, anger, pity, gossip, resentment, shyness, EGO, frustration, etc.

The Four Agreements by Ruiz talks about how to be such a warrior:  Be Impeccable with your word, Don’t make assumptions, Don’t take anything personally and Do your best.

I intend now to reread classic bible stories and see how Jesus behaved so as to test my theory.
